Founded in 1895, the Franklin Borough Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization providing fire & rescue services to Franklin Borough—a former steel town just outside Johnstown, PA, along with mutual aid to neighboring communities.

Membership Requirements
Membership Requirements
- Be at least 14 years of age.
- Be physically, mentally, emotionally, and morally fit for the duties to be performed.
- Submit a completed application and pass a background investigation.
- Complete entry level training for firefighters, EMT, technical rescuer, or special fire police officer.
