Founded in 1895, the Franklin Borough Fire Department is an all-volunteer organization providing fire & rescue services to Franklin Borough—a former steel town just outside Johnstown, PA, along with mutual aid to neighboring communities.
Our fire department was founded in 1895 and has been serving the community ever since. A lot has changed over the years, but not our desire to respond to any emergency.
We provide a wide range of services to the community, including fire suppression, emergency medical services, technical rescue, hazardous materials response, and more.
Our fire department is made up of a dedicated team of approximately 20 well-trained volunteers committed to serving the community.

Our department responds to a variety of incidents, including fires, medical emergencies, vehicle crashes, technical rescues, and hazardous material spills.

Preventing fires is a top priority for our department. We offer education and resources to the community to help prevent fires from starting in the first place.

We believe in the importance of giving back to our community. Our department participates in a variety of community events throughout the year, including parades, fundraisers, and other public events.
